I would like to introduce myself, my name is Merianne, I am a 52-year-old mother of three beautiful daughters and Meemaw to five wonderful grandchildren. I decided a few years ago that it was time to lose some weight, get in shape and start getting the most out of life. I was making a living with Art, Glass, Pottery and Quilting, but all of these activities were keeping me somewhat sedentary. I started working out and became a lifeguard again, as well as a swim/aquafit instructor at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Center in Belleville. I love swimming, cycling, running, hiking, kayaking, everything related to healthy active living, and was feeling great and able to enjoy all of these activities again. my first grandchild was born and I became Meemaw and I love being Meemaw!! We recently bought a cottage that my husband and I are finishing, which is affording us more time to enjoy family and the outdoors.
With this blog, I am hoping to share fitness goals and achievements, tips and trick, nutrition, recipes and updates on the ongoing cottage project. So come along with me while I get back in shape, ( yes I have had a crazy year and need to get back on track) train for a half marathon and make the most of life at the cottage!!
